Steve Parnwell founded Greenwillows Associates in 2001 following his retirement as a police wildlife liaison officer. In 2004 the business was incorporated as a limited company and continues to move from strength to strength with many loyal customers demonstrating their satisfaction with service delivery through continued repeat business.
is Greenwillows' Principal Consultant Ecologist with over 40 years experience as a field naturalist and ecologist. Formerly the country's most senior operational Police Wildlife Liaison Officer at the rank of Chief Superintendent prior to his retirement from the service, he brings a unique set of skills to the field of ecological consultancy to achieve favourable outcomes for both our clients and the environment.
is our Director of Administration, has years of experience in field work and holds Great Crested Newt licences, including a licence to use Dewsbury traps. Madeleine is responsible with Steve for the day-to-day running of Greenwillows' Head Office in Cambridgeshire.
is the Special Projects/Research Officer, finance manager and administrator. Claire is also our in-house bat data analyst, undergoing continuing professional development to utilise the latest echolocation software to present bat-call analysis in a comprehensive and accessible way for clients.
is our Senior Ecologist with years of experience working within Greenwillows Associates. She has an MSc in Conservation from University College London (UCL) and in 2012 spent 6 months working as a research assistant on various botanical and small mammal projects in Chile, South America where she achieved a working level proficiency in Spanish. Now based in in Cambridgeshire, she works all over the country coordinating field work and assisting Greenwillows Associates to deliver high quality, evidenced-based ecological reports.
is Greenwillows' Training and Communications Officer, responsible for our website, newsletter and social media. Mary is also completing her Level 4 in Arboriculture and has passed her tree climbing and aerial rescue (CS38) to undertake inspections of trees and to be able to rule out potential bat roost features. In addition to this, Mary holds a Nebosh certificate in Occuptational Health and Safety to oversee Health and Safety Policy development and implementation, liaising with the rest of the workforce. Her interests lie in sustainable urban design, and new developments in tree planting with climate change and flood management in mind.
is an Ecologist with Greenwillows Associates who started working with us in 2015 after completing an MSc in Ecological Applications at Imperial College London. Amy's interests lie in habitat management and conservation, with field experience in entomology and botany. Amy works closely with Senior Ecologist Emma to deliver high-quality habitat assessments and ecological reports for our clients.
